Boxing
Hampshire Police Boxing is a club for all members of the Constabulary, officers and staff. We are supported by HPLS, whose backing has been instrumental in launching what we hope to be a long term successful club.
All participants must be subscribers of HPLS, this is linked to the force insurance policy. There will be a £2 charge for each training session – with all proceeds going towards funding for equipment and running events further down the line.
The club will be ran by a friendly team of coaches with relevant experience and qualifications who strive to offer boxing training opportunities for all. These sessions combine training for those who wish to participate purely for fitness and also those who want to learn about the sport through contact & non-contact options. The club also welcomes anyone with an existing boxing or martial arts background.

Boxing wraps are advised to mitigate hand or wrist injuries and these can be sourced online for £5 or so. You can buy traditional wraps which require self-wrapping or ‘ready-made’ protective inner wraps.
The club has purchased new pairs of 16oz boxing gloves for use, however if you do attend on a regular basis, it is advised to purchase a set of your own to 16oz Training/Sparring Boxing Gloves to use. If you are wanting to take part in sparring and contact boxing, a fitted mouth guard is mandatory.
