Hampshire Constabulary FC Vets’ team

The Hampshire Constabulary Vets’ Football team is for police officers and police staff employed by the constabulary who have reached the milestone of being 35 or older.

The team enters and plays in the Police Sport UK national vets football tournament each year and has enjoyed success by reaching the semi-finals on two occasions and runners up in 2018. The final of this competition is played at a football league ground. In the past this venue has included Port Vale’s Vale Park, while in 2018 the winners were crowned at Manchester City’s training ground.

This year the Vets have also entered the Emergency Services Football League and will be playing friendlies not limited to the Navy and Hampshire Fire and Rescue.

With this increase in games there is a need to bolster the squad and we are looking to encourage new talent to join the great team we already have.

The opportunity to represent the constabulary is open to officers and staff, and time off from duties may be allowed subject to your manager’s approval and in line with force policy, which must be strictly adhered to.
