Holiday Home Cleaning

COVID-19 Notice - The virus remains in general circulation (level 3), which requires the handover cleaning of or homes to be carried out meticulously by the outgoing member and for the incoming member to ensure that before they use it they too have wiped down all hard surfaces as a secondary measure to further reduce any risk.  We have also hade to remove all pillows and quilts and request that members use their own from home until further notice. Mattresses will be fitted with a protector over which you need to use your own sheets.
Members of HPLS who use our holiday homes at Swanage Coastal Park will need to ensure that on leaving to come home, that they have left the home in a spotless condition ready for the next member to arrive.  To keep our costs down to an absolute minimum for members to use, we are trusting our members to be responsible and spend time cleaning properly before they leave.  Want to know why we have gone self clean? see bottom of page.

How would you wish to find it?  Well that's how you should leave it! 

This means;
  • All surfaces sprayed / wiped down with anti-bacterial spray
  • Kitchen cleaned (all worktops, ovens, fridge and freezer)
  • All crockery washed and put away
  • All cooking pans and utensils washed and left in the right place
  • WC and bathrooms cleaned and showing no sign of any use!
  • All hard floors swept and wet mopped
  • All carpets hoovered
  • Light spray of anti-bac on lounge fabric chairs (leave to dry)
  • All bins emptied and taken to the refuse point (liners replaced)
  • Outside decking and furniture washed down
  • Launder the mattress protectors is needed at the site launderette. We will refund any costs on your return.
We have provided all the materials for you to clean properly and time to do this with a midday checkout.  If you run out of any cleaning equipment either request it early in the week or purchase it and we will refund you the cost.
 
In the home you will find a welcome and information pack together with a cleaning folder.

There is a cleaning handover check list which you need to complete and leave for the next HPLS member to see when they arrive.

Please remember that your £80 cleaning and security deposit will only be refunded when we have confirmed that the holiday home was left in a clean and tidy condition. The homes are quite small. Leaving them in good order is not difficult to achieve.

Have you bought any cleaning materials? Just email and let us know and we can rebate that back to you. Please keep the receipt.

Have you had an accidental spillage?  We have a spillage kit in a box in the kitchen cupboard. Stain remover and absorbent cloths are contained in both holidays home kits. If you can't deal with it, please tell us. We can help. Accidents do happen!  In the event of a real problem call the site office. Remember the site has a launderette to use.

Have a nice holiday! You only need to think about this at the end of your stay!
