What is the Black Card? It is a Mastercard to use anywhere like any other card, however it is not a credit card, so there are no fees or penalties. Just set up a regular or manual transfer of funds into your Black account before you spend it. Why do this? Because this card will give you cash back at lots of high street shops up to 5%! Because it is not a credit card there are no credit checks. This is a unique card not available elsewhere on the open market. There are similar but none as good as this.
If you shop at any of the below listed stores then it is well worth getting a Black Card. An average family shopping bill using any combination these stores could earn you back a tidy sum each year! These cards can also help you budget more effectively and spend less each month. You can also use it any store even if not listed below and during sales or other promotions adding to your saving. Cash back is retrospectively added after purchases for you to spend on other things. You can't lose with this! The card can also be used at other stores that display the 'Local Business Savings' logo.

Leslie Davis, Mothercare, Miss Selfridge, New Look, River Island, Outfit, Thorntons, Pizza Express, Topman, Topshop, Waterstones, Zizzi's, Leslie Davis, Domino's Pizza, Marriot Hotels, TGI Friday, Virgin Experience. (5% back on all these stores except Sainsburys which is 3%) also accepted at any other shop/business for normal purchases.
Using it is easy. Work out roughly what you spend each month, top it up by automated standing order, monitor your account online 24/7 and add a bit more manually if required. With a regular payment going in it acts as an additional mini current account used for your weekly shopping. You can never go overdrawn so no nasty fees or surprises. Need an extra card for your partner? No problem ask when applying.
So how do you get one?
Firstly you need to register with the PS Discounts website using this link HERE You can do this from home or work. Whatever email you use for this will be the email that any information or updates are sent unless you elect not to receive these.
Once registered, you can apply for the Black Card, but remember to use our HPLS code to get the £2.99 set up rate. You will get charge £10 if you don't! Get our code HERE using the club log in.
Just look for the 'Black Card' tab when logged in to PS Discounts. You must be serving staff to qualify for this card and a subscribing HPLS member to use our code. You can apply for the Black Card from home or work, however to complete the process they will send a verification email to your external work .pnn email address which you will need to open and click the link. Once you have done that you can complete the process and transfer an initial amount to the Black Card using a debit card. You will be sent a usercode and passcode for logging in next time (keep this safe)

Is this card the same as other store cards?
No it is not. Store credit cards promote their own store only and will charge hefty rates of interest should you fail to meet payment deadlines. There are other pre-loadable gift cards available and the Sainsburys 4% card that we also promote is a example of how good these can be, however they can only be used at one store. The Black Card can be used at multiple stores and with more usage could well save you more money.
