Nestled in the heart of the Irish Sea, the Isle of Man is Britain’s ‘Treasured Island’ just 60 miles from the mainland, with its own parliament, language, unique history and miles of unspoilt secluded countryside. It is the first entire nation in the world to be recognised as a UNESCO Biosphere, you will experience awe-inspiring nature, an ancient and compelling 10,000-year history and a vibrant culture.

Itinerary

Day 1 Morning departure for the journey north for an overnight stop in the North of England.

Day 2 Continue the journey to Heysham for the 14.15 hours sailing to Douglas arriving at 17.45 hours and to the hotel for a four night stay.

Days 3 to 5 We have included the following excursions:

You will meet your tour guide who will be with you for 2 1⁄2 days. You will travel to Castletown for a taste of island history and a visit to Castle Rushen. Afterwards you will visit the Sound and obtain lunch before continuing onto Cregneash Folk Village, a living illustration of a farming and crofting community in the 19th and early 20th century. Then onto Port Erin for a short break before a steam train ride to Douglas.
A visit to Laxey, the home of ‘Lady Isabella’ the largest working waterwheel in the world. Then you will enjoy a railway journey to Snaefell Summit. Enjoy the views before the return journey to Laxey. Continuing to Maughold and to Ramsey before returning by way of the Mountain Road TT course.
A visit to Peel, an attractive seaside resort complete with castle, sandy beach, harbour and a visit to the House of Mannanan to see the maritime history of the island. The afternoon will be free in Douglas for you to explore.

Day 6 After an early breakfast, you will board the ferry at 08.45 hours to Heysham. After disembarkation you will commence the homeward journey.

Overlooking the open seaside at Douglas. All bedrooms are en- suite with TV, WiFi, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Lift and some steps to some rooms, bar, restaurant, mini gym, sauna and steam room.

NB: There are 18 steps to the entrance, but there is access via ground floor restaurant. Lift for small wheelchairs. Not suitable for persons with limited mobility.

All bedrooms are ensuite with TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Pick up points. Various will be available throughout Hampshire. These cannot be allocated at this time, but a full list of points will be advised in due course. We will liaise with our partner to find the best one for your location. This may include Netley HQ, however planned changes to security may not make this possible.

The HPLS subsidised price is only £786pp. Deposit payable on booking is £40. Full balance paid by March 4th. The public price for this trip is £849pp. This represents great value when considering the package on offer. Places are very limited. Please book early to ensure your places. £20 supplement for non-HPLS qualifying guests.
