Who Are We?

Fancy getting out on the water, meeting fellow serving and retired colleagues whilst representing Hampshire and IOW Constabulary in some of the most competitive boat fishing matches in the country?

The  Boat Fishing Section is a friendly, sociable and competitive team, and you don’t need to be an experienced match angler to get involved.

Alongside our main fixtures, there are also plenty of mini-league competitions and social events throughout the season, giving new and current members the chance to develop their skills, build confidence on the water, or simply enjoy a relaxed day out fishing.

Competing at National Level

For those who enjoy the competitive side, the highlight of the season is the PSUK National Boat Fishing Championship, where forces from across the UK compete to win the Kent Shield.

Hampshire Police has a proud history at the Nationals and is regarded as one of the leading police boat fishing teams in the country.

More Than Just Competition

Although the national matches are competitive, they are fished in a friendly and supportive spirit. It is a great opportunity to meet colleagues from other forces.

Whether you are already an experienced sea angler, have done a bit of boat fishing, or have never fished before, we would love to hear from you.

There are opportunities to come along on a boat fishing trip and see what it is all about before deciding whether you would like to become more involved.
