Coach Trips
HPLS run a number of day coach trips for our members together with family or friends to enjoy. We hire executive standard coaches which depart from Netley and visit various locations. These are usually driver managed and members are free to do as they please when they arrive at the locations visited and some will have tickets included for events. Any such trip we have planned will be shown on this page together with the request form for places.
London Christmas Shopping

A festive day out to one of the biggest shopping malls in Europe. We will drop off at at Westfield Shopping Centre, where you can enjoy a whole day's retail therapy with ample opportunity for food and drink as well. Depart Netley 8am and Westfield at 5pm.
Subsidised coach tickets are;
HPLS adult members, partners, child - £14. Non member Guests £18.
Please note, this day is not aimed as a family day out and hence we have stipulated max 2 places per member. It is a long day and we feel this is suited more to a couple to enjoy a day's shopping. If however you would like additional tickets for older children please email us and if we have spare places we will try to facilitate.

A great day out to the capital with a choice of activities for members to do. We will drop off at the museums in Kensington where you can enjoy free entry to any of the national museums. (Pre booking of free tickets may be required)
Alternatively you can book discounted rate tickets for Madame Tussauds or London Dungeons via our Merlin booking link. HPLS can provide free passes to HMS Belfast or Churchill War Rooms.
Subsidised coach tickets are;

Listed venues via tube from South Kensington to Piccadilly Circus (14-34 mins). Bookings should be made for after midday to allow for arrival time and tube transfer.

Abba Voyage - The live show that has received huge acclaim. Outstanding technical spectacle in a purpose built arena is not to be missed by any Abba fan. We have organised a day for our members including return exec coach transport and entry with central dance floor tickets. These offer the best experience in our view as seating can be tight spaced and most seated people stand up anyway. We are offering this day for only £97! The tickets alone are £105 and we are including stress free return travel. The arrival time will allow you to have a short 15 min walk into Stratford Village for eats and drinks, before walking back to the arena ready for the show starting. As soon as the show finishes the coach will be ready for boarding to come home. Depart Netley 1pm. Return back around midnight.
Note - Max 2 tickets per member. This trip is aimed at our members taking one other adult with them, usually their partner, but of course it can be a son or daughter or a friend. The subsidised cost of £97 is for members, spouse, partner (same address) and members children. Min age for show is 6. This trip is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
The normal cost price of £117 is chargeable for anyone not in the group stated above. This is what HPLS pay for the discounted entry tickets and cost price coach seat. A supplement will be payable in these cases, for example if you are taking your wife or partner it will be 2 x £97, if you are taking a non-member friend, you will pay £97 and they will pay £117.

Seats are £14 per HPLS member, partner and family. Guests £19. Max 2 adults plus 2 children. Member or spouse partner must be travelling.
Members will be free to do as they please whilst in this lovely city. Oxford is famous for it's variety of shopping outlets, heritage sights to visit, restaurants and pubs. No stress day out as far as driving and parking is concerned. Sit back and relax, be dropped off in the centre of Oxford and picked up from the same location.

BLETCHLEY PARK

Possibly one of the most interesting places you have yet to visit. A key facility in the fight to win WW2 and with a new exhibition just opening, now is the time to go. Our members trip includes return exec coach from Netley and admission to Bletchley and the new exhibition.
During World War II, the estate housed the Government Code and Cypher School (GC&CS), which regularly penetrated the secret communications of the Axis Powers – most importantly the German Enigma and Lorenz ciphers. The GC&CS team of codebreakers included Alan Turing, Gordon Welchman, Hugh Alexander, Bill Tutte, and Stuart Milner-Barry. The nature of the work at Bletchley remained secret until many years after the war. The new exhibition 'The Intelligence Factory' will show you how this all came about.
